UPDATES + GOALS (2015)

There's a lot that I haven't talked about since the last time I posted on this blog so I don't really know where to start. So, I'll start with my plant life!!!!!

PLANT LIFE
I've been into cacti and succulents ever since last summer, but my obsession started in January of this year. (2015) After buying my first moon cactus at this nifty garden and gem shop in the East Village, I was completely in love. I have about 30+ cacti and succulents together. Pretty insane. I even painted their pots and made little homes for them. I even got a neat terrarium from my boyfriend. I still plan to make my collection grow even more. After realizing my obsession, I decided to make an Instagram dedicated to my beautiful babies. If you haven't checked it out yet, it's @cactusqueenn_ . YASSSS!!!!

AND BY THE WAY, CACTI AND SUCCULENTS SHOULDN'T BE A FAD! I HATE HOW ITS EVERYWHERE. ITS NOT A FAD SO PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR PLANTS AND STOP MAKING IT SEEM LIKE ITS A FUCKING AESTHETIC. THANKS.

SCHOOL LIFE
School is pretty much the same but even better I think so. I finally decided what career path I want to be in. I'M GOING TO BE A GRAPHIC DESIGNER! (In the making.) I still have to apply for the BFA program in my school so technically this summer, I'm supposed to be making my portfolio. I even got a the newest Macbook Pro Retina Display for it. AND YASSSS, MACS FTW!!!! Anyway, since my trial for adobe illustrator is probably done, I have to scout for a torrented version of it. Not going to lie though, I sort of get how to use illustrator now. I even made prints and did some designs for my portfolio. Of course, they're not finished because my trial ended.... blah.

ART+PHOTOGRAPHY
Definitely getting back into film photography this summer. Since I got a small part time job at my mom's job, I have extra money, that I should be spending for film and saving! Also, I got a new polaroid camera (not really a polaroid brand), the fujifilm instax mini 8 in raspberry. I absolutely love it. I was motivated to get back into my photography because one night I was looking through my polaroid photos and I realized how many photos and memories I have captured so I was like what the hell, LET'S MAKE SOME MORE. So that's that..

OTHERS (HAULS+PHONE CASES+DIY)
Let's just say, I'll be posting my latest collections of 2015 in my later posts.

Oh my gulay; it's my first post of 2015!

After a long long long hiatus from my blog due to school and other reasons, I've finally come back! I realized I'm not always consistent with my posts throughout the years until summer. I guess I get bored so might as well?

hm.. writer's block?

Fall 2014 OOTD "Beware of the Layers"

This post is from me and my friend's website called thethickskins.com
It's an awesome, unique website where you can find fashion to food posts. Please check it out and also follow us on our Instagram and Twitter: TheThickSkins

Fall is here. My favorite thing about this season is the approach of my favorite holidays, the cold breeze,  apple picking, and best of all being able to wear cozy attires. In this weather, I can make myself all warm and cozy just by adding on layers of clothes, no big coats necessary.
For this look, I wanted to be comfortable and warm since this weekend was chillier than usual. Here I’m wearing a leather jacket with a knit sweater over my mom jeans. I compliment my outfit with a flannel around my waist, my bass loafers, and my favorite hat. Lastly of course, I completed this look with my favorite fall piece which is make up. Fall lets me experiment with darker shades of make up which is really fun. For my lips I’m wearing a MAC matte lipstick called “Diva”, which is a really dark red color.

Coney Island

DIY WRAPPED NECKLACE

Love finding new crafts to keep for myself. I've always wanted to buy those diy crystal wrapped necklaces but they were always so expensive or too overpriced, especially sites like Brandy Melville and Urban Outfitters. So I got these things from an arts and craft store in Harlem for less than $15.
